2011 MERLOT NAPA VALLEY
"Merlot is consideered by the lovers of Bordelais to be the "feminine" counterpart to the "masculine" Cabernet Sauvignon. The soft, quietly impressive, yet fierce passion refledted by the "iron fist in a velvet glove" approach

Gorgeous ruby/garnet depth in color. The first sip bursts with a great rush of intensity on the nose reminiscent of rose pedals, cherries, bacon, cigar box and raspberries end up on the back nose. This wine will knock your socks off with suprisingly smooth finish held by a bracing acidity." Norma Poole
Similar to the beautiful German Shepard gracing the label, this bold, yet finely structured and complex Cabernet Sauvignon is remarkably stunning and it is a 2004. The color still is dense, dark center fanning to a narrow band of garnet. Aromas are cigar box, dried cherries, cola, and a dusty earthy elegance. Alex's Ruff Red is by no means rough and still elegant and immensely enjoyable." Norma Poole

This Zin was crafted in a medium extraction, medium alcohol style to produce a smooth quaffable wine yearning for a great pasta sauce to marry with. Full bodied with black fruit ,hint of cranberry, tart cherries and dark chocolate.
Jill one of my many Geat Danes hung out with Simba, Alex, and Jack to entertain guests at my Diamond Mountain Winery. A Bordeaux Style Merlot a fine example of a elegant, well balanced, medium alcohol companion to a a hearty beef stew or a try tip. frolicy and funny Jill's Juice will make any meal sparkle.
