2004 Simba's Sinful Zinfandel

Like its namesake, the 2004 vintage of our popular zinfandel is a fantastic mix of things.  With 76% Lake County Zinfandel, 10% Mendocino County Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Russian River Valley Merlot, and 2% each estate-grown Merlot and Cabernet Franc, Simba boasts a robust bouquet of brambly berry fruit, framed by notes of spice.  Showing that same berry fruit on the palate, along with fleshy black plum and dark cherry notes, and notes of allspice and cracked green pepper aft, picking up wonderful smoky vanilla and cocoa bean notes from the extensive oak aging, as well as a delicate floral character, all framed out by fine tannic structure, our Zinfandel represents fantastic value.  It will pair beautifully with everything from pastas to finer cuts of meat, and its rich spice profile makes it the ideal complement to your meal. Enjoy now, or for the next five years.
