1998 Red Table Wine

Some wineries call this style of wine Meritage or they give it a personality or proprietary name. Our moniker for this classic Bordeaux style blend is simply Red Table Wine. The classification allows us the freedom to blend the ideal wine and expression of each vintage. In that respect, it’s the wine-makers choice! The 1998 tasted bold and complete in it’s youth and not much has changed except for some added interest in the aromatics and flavors. The critics flogged the 1998 vintage throughout Napa Valley perhaps because they had hangovers from the landmark ’97 vintage? This wine was very nice when we bottled it but today it’s really starting to show us that critics can sometimes be too quick to judge. Enjoy fully.
